Treasures of the Isle donation to Orange Beach Fire and Rescue Ladies Auxiliary

The Mardi Gras Krewe, Treasures of the Isle, recently donated $400 to the Orange Beach Fire and Rescue Ladies Auxiliary.  Pictured here on the left is Kelly Stricklin, president of the Orange Beach Fire and Rescue Auxiliary accepting the check from Connie Baker, vice president of the Treasures of the Isle Krewe.

Treasures of the Isle was founded on the principal of giving back to the community with charitable endeavors while enjoying the fun of Mardi Gras and fellowship with friends.  The Krewe membership includes men and women, married and single.  Other recent charitable donations have included the Gulf Coast Zoo, American Cancer Society, and Baldwin County Community Hospice.  For information on how to become a member and join all the fun while helping the community email treasuresoftheisle@hotmail.com or visit their web site at www.treasuresoftheisle.com.

TREASURES OF THE ISLE ANNOUNCES ARTS AND CRAFTS FESTIVAL

Calling all artist and crafts sellers!! The Mardi Gras Krewe Treasures of the Isle has announced the second annual Treasures Hunt Arts and Crafts Festival will be held on Saturday, April 17, 2010, at the Orange Beach Sportsplex on Canal Road.

Calling all Arts and Crafts Vendors! Come join the 2010 Treasures Hunt in Orange Beach, Alabama

Lots of food and fun for the whole family is being planned and local artists and craftsmen will be displaying and selling their works.  Food booths will be available and include German sausages, corn dogs, nachos and fresh strawberry shortcakes.

In addition, the festival will feature a community yard sale with a wide variety of “treasures from the attic. Proceeds from the festival will benefit local charities in Baldwin County.

Individuals interested in learning more about displaying and selling their art or crafts or other commercial items are invited to visit the Treasures Hunt web site for a Vendor Application .
